Donate to your Favorite Cuban Dancers, Musicians and Teachers
While Cuba took effective measures to control the spread of the Coronavirus early on, the economy has been hit hard, creating shortages of food and basic supplies for many. These shortages have only gotten worse over the last few months and our friends are waiting in in long lines to get supplies and suffering power outages and other difficulties on a daily basis. Please consider donating today! 100% of your donation goes to support our teachers and staff on the ground in Cuba!
Email us directly at info@plazacuba.com to make a tax deductible donation of $200 or more through our fiscal sponsor.

We want to thank everyone that already donated to our campaign to get cash into the hands of our valuable team members and their families during this challenging time. Thanks to you, PlazaCUBA has sent more than $30,000 to our Cuban teachers and friends the last over 2.5 years, helping them purchase food and other basic supplies. Join us to continue this much needed support. We will allocate these funds to reach as many people as possible. But if you want your donation to go to a specific person or group, let us know and we’ll ensure every dollar goes directly to them. So far we have given direct support to: Rosa Barreto, Gilian, Mardel and Jesus; members of Ban Rarrá (Isaias, Yaselis, Zuley, Justo and the entire group); dance teachers (Jennyselt, Karelia, Ania, Leonel, Ory); Raices Profundas (Emilio and Ildolidia plus group members); all dance assistants; musicians from Afro-Cuban dance class (Julito, Gualberto, Pedro Pablo); teachers and translators at the National School of Music; Yanek and Yisel of Sabor DKY in Santiago; Babul in Guantanamo; Rumbatá in Camaguey; and the Muñequitos de Matanzas. Recently we were able to send $2500 to Cesar “Pupy” Pedroso’s family after his passing. All of these amazing teachers and musicians are very thankful for your generosity. Let’s keep it going! |
